I have been trying out a colour scheme for the US Armies 3rd infantry division and came up with this base using the “worst” of the available figures (one man is now “down” after losing his leg and base to a modelling accident).
I have to say I am not a fan of the massive bases on these Battlefront Models. Trying to remove the base is nigh on impossible without injury to the model. I didn’t want to keep having to put lots of filler onto the base either as it slows down the gluing production line. I hope the static grass helps to disguise the obvious lump of metal at the bottom of the figures.

And pre-static grass and matt coat of varnish…
