Here’s where I got to with the German models.
Vehicles: White spray undercoat, Vallejo Dead Flesh basecoat, Vallejo Mutation Green and Beasty Brown camouflage, drybrush of Dead Flesh all over to tone down the camo.
Infantry: White spray undercoat, Vallejo Sombre Grey basecoat; Vallejo Steel Grey drybrush; Vallejo Dead Flesh (packs and equipment); Vallejo Beasty Brown (Rifles and boots); Vallejo Chainmail Silver (SMG’s and Rifle parts). The base edging is Vallejo Desert Yellow.
They were all dipped (Army Painter Dark Tone) by using the ‘brush on’ method and then after 12 or so hours sprayed with Army Painter Anti-shine Matt Varnish.
I notice the top surface of one Stug seems to have a grainy effect. I can’t remember if that was there originally or not. It’s possibly the spray paint, but only one model seems affected… it’s not much of a problem and only really shows in close-up on a photo.
Just the basing to go – will keep that the same as the existing ‘Italy’ German’s.
